TECHLAB SYSTEMS has recently supplied a VAL-150 Compression Tester to CRIL (Centro Ricerche Imballaggi Legno e Logistica) in Italy, a prestigious institution dedicated to research and testing in the wood sector. This state-of-the-art equipment will enable CRIL to perform specific flexion and compression tests on wooden pallets, ensuring compliance with the quality and strength standards required by the industry.

The new VAL-150 Compression Tester replaces CRIL’s previous testing machine, offering greater precision and reliability in assessing the load capacity and deformation of pallets. Among the tests that can be performed with this equipment are:

• Flexion tests: Evaluation of the strength of stringers and crossbeams from pallets under distributed and concentrated loads.
• Compression tests: Analysis of the load capacity of the pallet surface, simulating real storage and transportation conditions.
• Structural strength tests: Verification of the pallet’s integrity under different usage and handling scenarios.
