In an exciting development within the collaboration between KVALITEST INDUSTRIAL LTD, LUT Lappeenranta University of Technology and TECHLAB SYSTEMS, S.L. the installation of top-tier laboratory equipment in the university’s new research laboratory has been completed. This high-tech equipment is essential for conducting advanced research in the analysis and processing of paper pulp and stands out for its efficiency and precision. Some of the most notable equipment includes:
- PFI-type Pulp Refiners (2 units): These refiners are fundamental for preparing paper pulp samples with specific characteristics, enabling precise investigation and optimization of refining processes.
- Automatic Sheet Former Rapid-Koethen with 4 Dryers (model RK-4C): This advanced equipment is essential for creating high-quality paper sheets under controlled conditions, facilitating the study of sheet properties in various manufacturing contexts.
- Wet Sheet Press (model NPT-10): The wet sheet press is crucial for evaluating the moisture content and density of paper sheets, contributing to the improvement of the final product’s quality.
- Gurley Porosity Meter (model 4110) with Digital Timer (model 4320N): This porosity measurement equipment is essential for assessing the permeability of paper sheets, allowing for research into the relationship between sheet structure and physical properties.
