JT-55, the new TLS equipment to measure the joint adhesion of corrugated board boxes

Problems in the supply chain due to flap separation in corrugated cardboard boxes: TECHLAB SYSTEMS Presents Innovative Solution

The separation of flaps in corrugated cardboard boxes is a recurring issue that severely affects the supply chain. When the joints of the boxes come apart, the packaging’s integrity is compromised, which can lead to product damage, returns, additional costs, and delivery delays. This presents a significant challenge for both manufacturers and consumers of this type of packaging, which is critical in sectors such as logistics and distribution.

In response to this issue, TECHLAB SYSTEMS has developed an innovative solution: the JT-55 equipment, specifically designed to measure the adhesive strength of the joints in corrugated cardboard boxes, following the FEFCO 55 standard. This high-precision equipment will allow box and packaging manufacturers to ensure the quality of adhesive joints, minimizing the risk of failure and ensuring safer and more efficient product transportation.

The implementation of the JT-55 will not only improve quality standards in the corrugated cardboard industry but also benefit consumers by reducing the number of incidents related to defective packaging. Furthermore, companies will be able to optimize their supply chains by avoiding problems caused by packaging failures.

TECHLAB SYSTEMS participates in the LABTECH ENGINEERING Agents’ Training Seminar

Last week, LABTECH ENGINEERING held a five-day technical and commercial seminar at its factory in Thailand, gathering more than 50 distributors from around the world. As the exclusive representative of LABTECH ENGINEERING in Spain, TECHLAB SYSTEMS took part in this key event for the polymer processing industry.

LABTECH ENGINEERING was founded in Thailand 35 years ago and is today one of the largest producer in the world of laboratory and pilot plant polymer processing machines. They manufacture their machines under Swedish management and technology with a very dedicated Thai staff of engineers and technicians. A few years ago they moved to an ultra-modern factory.

LABTECH ENGINEERING is a leader in manufacturing a wide range of high-tech equipment for polymer processing, including:

  • Laboratory extruders: extrusion equipment for small-scale tests and developments.
  • Calendering lines: designed for the production of high-quality plastic sheets.
  • Two-roll mills: used for polymer and compound mixing.
  • Injection molding machines: for precision molded products.
  • Pelletizers: for the production of polymer pellets.
  • Blown and cast film extrusion lines: for the manufacturing of plastic films.
  • Hydraulic presses: ideal for making polymer plates and thin films.

Representing TECHLAB SYSTEMS was Aitor Mendizabal, an engineer with 18 years of experience in the company. Aitor gained key insights into new technologies and had the opportunity to share successful experiences from clients in Spain, reaffirming TECHLAB SYSTEMS‘ commitment to offering innovative solutions and excellent technical support.

The seminar not only provided an opportunity to explore the latest innovations in these products, but also served as a platform to share success stories among international distributors. Throughout the sessions, case studies were presented, showcasing how LABTECH ENGINEERING‘s equipment has helped companies improve the efficiency and quality of their production processes.

This seminar strengthens the close collaboration between TECHLAB SYSTEMS and LABTECH ENGINEERING, continuing to deliver cutting-edge solutions to the plastic and polymer industries in Spain.
