When Trust Drives Growth: 15 Years of Collaboration Between TECHLAB SYSTEMS and PAConsult
A Story of Engineering, Customization and International Growth
Some business relationships begin with a simple transaction.
Others are built over the years through trust, adaptability and a shared vision for growth.
The story between TECHLAB SYSTEMS and PAConsult GmbH, one of Germany’s most recognized accredited testing laboratories, clearly belongs to the latter.
Everything started in 2011, when Mr. Karim Esfahlani, CEO of PAConsult in Hamburg, contacted TECHLAB SYSTEMS with a very specific goal: to acquire a box compression tester for their testing laboratory.
From the very beginning, the relationship was managed directly by Javier Jimenez, Sales and Marketing Director at TECHLAB SYSTEMS, who personally supported PAConsult throughout the entire process of technical definition, customization and project implementation.
After reviewing the portfolio of in-house manufactured solutions offered by TECHLAB SYSTEMS, a new challenge emerged.
PAConsult was not looking for a standard machine.
They needed a special solution specifically designed to meet their operational requirements and support the growth of their transport simulation and testing services.
At TECHLAB SYSTEMS, we quickly understood that this was not simply about manufacturing a machine.
It was about developing a tailor-made solution capable of supporting the future evolution of a highly specialized laboratory.
And we accepted the challenge.
The First Step: A Customized VAL-50 for Hamburg
That same year, the first VAL-50 system was supplied — a 50 kN box compression tester equipped with standard 1250 x 1250 mm compression plates but incorporating a highly unusual feature: a special 2050 mm stroke.
In addition, PAConsult requested another distinctive detail.
The machine had to be manufactured using the German company’s corporate colors, completely moving away from the standard finishes typically used.
A requirement that perfectly reflects the philosophy shared by both companies: customization is not an extra — it is an essential part of the solution. And that is exactly what was delivered.
Growth in Switzerland: PAConsult Swiss is Born
The collaboration did not end there.
In 2013, the company took another strategic step with the creation of PAConsult Swiss in Neuhausen am Rheinfall (Switzerland), with the objective of serving the growing demand in the Swiss market.
For these new facilities, TECHLAB SYSTEMS supplied a second system adapted to new testing requirements.
This time, the selected model was the VALIDATOR, a more compact box compression tester featuring 25 kN capacity, 800 x 800 mm compression plates and a 910 mm stroke, ideal for primary packaging compression applications.
A machine designed to provide precision, reliability and efficiency for smaller-format testing applications.
2018: The Hamburg Model Arrives in Switzerland
PAConsult Swiss continued consolidating its growth during the following years.
In 2018, increasing demand in the Swiss market once again led the company to trust TECHLAB SYSTEMS to expand its testing capacity.
The choice was clear.
A new VAL-50, identical to the one installed years earlier in Hamburg, was incorporated into the Neuhausen am Rheinfall facilities, replicating a successful model that had already proven its reliability and operational performance.
Expansion in Germany: Ochsenhausen and Berlin
The story continued to grow.
In southern Germany, new testing and validation requests for PAConsult began to increase, leading to the opening of a new center in Ochsenhausen in 2019.
That same year, TECHLAB SYSTEMS supplied another VAL-50, maintaining the same technical configuration as the previous systems.
This technological standardization allowed PAConsult to operate with the same methodology and performance across different testing centers, ensuring consistency and efficiency throughout all their laboratories.
And the expansion did not stop there.
Over the years, PAConsult continued strengthening its geographical presence in Germany, opening a new testing center in Berlin.
In 2026, another VAL-50 once again crossed Europe from TECHLAB SYSTEMS to become part of this new facility.
Much More Than Machines
Today, more than 15 years after the first contact, the collaboration between TECHLAB SYSTEMS and PAConsult represents much more than the supply of testing equipment.
It represents a relationship built on:
