COLOMBIAPLAST, meeting for the plastic industry in the Andean region

This week, Techlab Systems has successfully participated in Colombiaplast 2024, one of the most important trade fairs in the plastics industry in Latin America. The event, held in Bogotá, Colombia, is a key meeting point for innovation and the development of solutions in plastic materials and manufacturing processes.

Techlab Systems joined forces with its local distributor, Lanzetta Rengifo, at Stand 1301A in Hall 11-16, where they performed live demonstrations of their advanced testing equipment. Among the showcased instruments, the Universal Testing Machine MTE-5 stood out, specifically configured for testing plastic materials, along with the Melt Flow Index Tester MFI-100, a crucial tool for evaluating the quality of plastic raw materials.

Juan Echarri, the commercial manager of the METROTEC brand, traveled to Bogotá and reported that the event was a resounding success. “The response from visitors has been incredible. We had the opportunity to showcase the potential of our material testing solutions, and the reception has been overwhelmingly positive”.

Colombiaplast 2024, held as part of the Bogotá International Fair, is a leading platform for the plastics sector in Latin America, attracting companies, distributors, and manufacturers from around the world. Ander Gamon, production technician and motor enthusiast

This past weekend, our production technician Ander Gamón took another big step in his automotive career by making his debut in the 46th edition of the Jaizkibel Hill Climb. The pilot from Irun did so aboard a Peugeot Spider 207 THP. This prestigious mountain racing event was even more special for Ander, since his father also participated, with the world of motorsport being one of the great passions of the Gamón family.

The pilot from Irun was sponsored by Techlab Systems, the company where he has worked as a production technician for more than 6 years.

At the same time, Ander remains second in the Valencian Community Speed Tournament and is leading his class thanks to the results obtained after competing on the Jarama circuit. The next event will be at the Calafat Circuit, the last race that will close the championship in the month of October.

Ander also raced at the Motorland Circuit in the month of July aboard his Seat León MKII and established himself at the head of the Aragon Speed Tournament.

Story of a pilot

Ander Gamón grew up surrounded by engines, spark plugs and pistons. At the young age of 10 he began competing in Karting, standing out in each of the categories in which he has participated. Among his achievements, the following stand out:

TECHLAB SYSTEMS and VICCO shine at Expo Plast Peru with Live Demonstrations of the METROTEC MTE-5

TECHLAB SYSTEMS, together with our Peruvian distributor VICCO, had a standout presence at the recent edition of Expo Plast Peru, the most important event for the plastics industry in the country. This event brings together key players in the sector, providing a crucial platform to learn about the latest technological innovations and trends in plastic manufacturing.

This year, we had the opportunity to showcase our MTE-5 testing machine from the METROTEC brand, an advanced solution for quality control in plastic materials. During the fair, we conducted live demonstrations of the MTE-5, highlighting its capabilities in measuring mechanical properties such as tensile, compression, and flexural strength, which drew significant interest from industry professionals.

Juan Echarri, International Sales Manager for the METROTEC brand, shared his thoughts on the event: “Expo Plast Peru has been a very positive experience for us. The Peruvian plastics industry has experienced remarkable growth in recent years, driven by booming sectors such as construction, packaging, agribusiness, and mass consumption. According to the National Society of Industries (SNI) of Peru, the plastics sector in the country has shown a steady annual growth of 5-6%, with a continuous expansion outlook due to the demand for high-quality plastic products and new technological applications.

This growth creates an increasing need for high-precision testing equipment, like those offered by TECHLAB SYSTEMS, to ensure the quality and competitiveness of Peruvian plastic products in both national and international markets.
